Juwan Howard Not Interested In Leaving Michigan For NBA

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Jun 10, 2021 9:17 pm

Juwan Howard has told interested NBA teams that he's not interested in entertaining a discussion about leaving the University of Michigan.

Howard was hired as head coach at Michigan in 2019 after several seasons as assistant coach of the Miami Heat.

Howard was the AP Coach of the Year in 2021.

Time will tell. Wouldn't mind him sticking around for a while. Depends on what his motivations are.

Given his history with Michigan & how his exit transpired, NCAA finals loss as a player -- motivation would be to "rewrite" the history books and his / Fab 5 Michigan basketball legacy.

Nothing less than a championship(s) will do.

I agree. If it seems realistic to win one, that will be his goal and somewhat feel like the fab five won one, even if it is just him as coach winning one.
