Stephen Curry Remains 'Literally 50-50' On Olympics

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jun 14, 2021 2:55 pm

Stephen Curry remains undecided about participating in the Olympics this summer in Tokyo. Curry continues to explore the logistics of traveling to and playing in Tokyo and also curious which other players will be on the United States' team.

“I’m literally 50-50,” he said of his decision. “I probably need to decide in the next two weeks.”

Curry has never previously played in the Olympics.

klay should be ready to be the perhaps 11th man? could be some great rehab for him, and a good way for the warriors to see where they stand.

He should rest up and get ready for next season. Finally having Klay back with Draymond and whatever cast of players they have around them should make them one of the best teams in the league. Would hate to see that go off the rails because of a possible injury or fatigue due to playing in the Olympics. If he does play it will probably be to strengthen his brand across the globe. He really doesn't need an Olympic Gold Medal. He's got MVP awards and Finals rings, both of which are harder to get than Olympic gold medals bro.

The Olympics/fatigue narrative is just not true. Playing for Team USA is the best offseason workout an NBA player can get. See Khris Middleton as an example. Guy came into the season out of shape every year, finally played with Team USA for an offseason and had the best season of his career.
