Chris Paul Officially Out Game 1 Due To Protocols

Chris Paul will miss Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals due to health and safety protocols.

Paul entered the league's COVID-19 protocols on Wednesday.

Game 1 between the Suns and Clippers starts on Sunday.

The issue here is that he should have been more conscious about making sure he didn't put himself in a situation where he could get the virus. Knowing he's the most important player to the Suns and their deep playoff run. Unless, of course, the reason he got it was because of a fan at the stadium. Then that's on the team and the NBA. No details on how he was infected so for now, best of luck for a speedy recovery.

Just a careless mistake. This is the Final 4. Time of the year when you may not be getting another chance such as this one. And he pulls a move that totally slants the odds for game 1, in the favor of the Clippers.

I mean it is not like we would be hearing about players on the Nuggets who are currently infected now that they are out. I suppose with the tracing it could in fact be exactly how he tested +, and the tell tale sign will be if other Suns players test + in coming days. Either way yeah maybe he was careless, but I am on the side that thinks he would not be given the situation and he probably was intentionally approached by somebody infected with ties to the Clippers org. But thats all speculative and I have no reason to think that other than the world is full of inherently low class people

what does that have to do with being a carrier? If you test + odds are better you still have no symptoms at all
and cannot transfer the virus from your sweat, breath, couch etc. But yeah he NBA is not going to take any chances he might be one of the small % so yeah you test + even after
being responsible and getting the vaccine you still can't play.

funny how an arena full of fans can be next to each other without masks but nba players have to wear masks and miss a playoff game
