Jamahl Mosley Expected To Leave Mavs

Dallas Mavericks assistant Jamahl Mosley is expected to leave the team after failing to receive the "serious consideration" he anticipated for the head coaching job, sources told Tim Cato of The Athletic.

The Mavs hired Jason Kidd as head coach, with Nico Harrison as General Manager.

Mosley was known for his close relationship with Luka Doncic.

Rick Carlisle reportedly may have viewed Mosley's relationship with Doncic as a threat to himself.

You could take this as some sort of confirmation of tension with Carlisle, disappointment either that Carlisle supported Kidd over him, or that after cozying up to Luka and undermining Carlisle he wasn't rewarded with the slot, or you could ignore the whole article as being a little clueless, since new head coaches typically get to pick their staffs anyway, and unless Jamahl was a little problematically the "Luka whisperer" there would be no huge reason for Kidd to keep him on.

Who cares they lost Rick and hired Jason Kidd.. Why Kidd who has been a poor coach in two destinations.. The message is be bad and we will keep giving you chances..
