Lakers Hire David Fizdale As Assistant Coach

The Los Angeles Lakers will hire David Fizdale as an assistant coach to replace Jason Kidd.

Fizdale had been pursued for several lead assistant openings this summer and will join Frank Vogel's staff.

Fizdale previously worked with LeBron James with the Miami Heat organization. Fizdale subsequently became head coach of the Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks.

100 percent of all NBA Teams would love to have this guy on their bench bro. Take that for analytics bro ! He will be the next head coach for the Lakers for sure. I wouldn't be surprised if by mid season next year he takes over as the head coach. Players love this dude and is a class act all the way bro. HE good bro.

I think any Knicks and/or Grizzlies fan would tell you that this guy is not cut out to be an NBA head coach

The hate is showing. Some people are still on this nonsense even though Lue, who was supposedly LBJs puppet has shown his coaching skills. Vogel, while not my first choice for the Lakers, has his defensive stamp all over their system. But who knows, maybe LeBron is secretly coaching the Clippers behind the scenes as well. Can't wait to see him as a coach, he's going to be Phil Jackson, Pop and Red all in one if that's true.

On the actual news, good signing for an assistant coach. Other teams were interested as well. Especially as Kidd's replacement.
