Go to Europe and keep playing buddy. Prolly not the worst thing to happen if the raps draft Jalen Suggs anyways. One Jalen goes down, in comes another. I hope it wasn’t cannabis related, cuz that would be stupid for nba

League doesn't do this over marijuana.

Curious why ban is only 1 year, as most offenders usually get hit with two years.

Chris Andersen, O.J. Mayo, and Tyreke Evans are the players to get hit in the last 20 years IIRC.
(Evans can apply for reinstatement this offseason)

Might be the best thing that happens to him. As someone said he is young. Go play overseas and realize what a fantastic opportunity you have being drafted and playing in the NBA. Get your head on straight. Work on your craft and come back better then ever and he probably would be humbled by the experience too..

He won't be able to play in Europe, FIBA enforces drug penalties from other leagues. I believe China does now as well.

He had a two-way contract and the G-League is a better opportunity than Europe/China for young American players. He shot 50-47-78 in his 172 NBA minutes.

Trying to spin this as "the best thing that's ever happened to him" is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. He wrecked his professional career.

This is too bad. He showed a lot of promise in his limited minutes. I hope he gets his life straightened out and comes back.

Right because him being in the NBA collecting his salary with no repercussions for his actions is a lot better than being suspended and having a chance to take stock of his situation and say. "What the hell am I doing with this golden opportunity I have !" Yeah I get your point.
