Lakers, Mavs, Knicks, Pelicans Interested In Trading For Landry Shamet

The Brooklyn Nets are interested in trading Landry Shamet this offseason with multiple teams interested.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks, New York Knicks and New Orleans Pelicans are each interested in Shamet. The Knicks previously had interest in trading for Shamet when they dealt Marcus Morris Sr. to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Nets acquired Shamet last offseason from the Clippers.

Dude is horrible. Ppl see a couple good games here and there and think he can shoot. He can't throw a pea in the ocean on most nights, doesn't matter how wide open he is

He is a career 39.7% 3 point shooter with a pretty quick release. But since entering the NBA as a reasonably promising rookie, he hasn't learned to contribute in any other meaningful ways on the court. He doesn't drive or get to the line (much), isn't a playmaker or PG, and isn't known for his defense.

It sounds like Dallas is -- unfortuately for me as a Dallas fan -- trying to trade for everybody with little rhyme or reason as to who they want.

Good take. Im a Clippers fan so I've watched him a lot. He percentages are skewed because he has a few good games at a time but overall he is much more inconsistent than those numbers suggest. I thought he was mini Curry as a rookie but he hasn't improved in even the slightest
