The Chicago Bulls have extended the qualifying offer to Lauri Markkanen, which will make him a restricted free agent.
Markkanen is expected to have several teams pursuing him in free agency.
The Bulls and Markkanen were reportedly far apart in extension negotations before the 20-21 season and he was subsequently shopped in trade discussions.
