The Washington Wizards could move quickly to acquire Spencer Dinwiddie from the Brooklyn Nets in a sign-and-trade, sources tell Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

The deal could be folded into Washington's trade with the Los Angeles Lakers involving Russell Westbrook with Kyle Kuzma or Montrezl Harrell going to the Nets.

Brooklyn also continues to unload the salary of DeAndre Jordan.

I wouldn’t wanna pay Spencer $125M plus give up Kuzma. If it’s Montrezl I would be okay with it but still think that’s an awful contract for Spencer that will be regrettable. Don’t see how that makes Beal happy longterm but we shall see

Wizards just traded the #22 for Aaron Holiday and they have Cassius Winston. They could use a PG, but not an absolute need since they just moved a pick for one.

Lakers should've just traded Harrell (or Kuzma) for Dinwiddie. They still could've traded Kuzma and the 22nd pick for another player.

Dinwiddie and buddy heild would help the Lakers probably more than losing everyone for Westbrook

This could be said for just about half the potential player pairings in the league. That's not to disrespect Russ. He is just a poor fit with Lebron. Russ and AD are a pretty good fit though. If AD is paired with Russ and they stagger their minutes with Lebron they could have something... but who would be left on the floor with Lebron while AD and Russ sit? And is that realistic? Not really.

Historically Lebron has played all of his minutes with his teams best lineups. At least two other starters on the floor with him at all times. The lineup while Lebron sat in CLE was usually Love and four bench players. Hill was usually the 2nd best player on the floor in those situations. I predict a lot of Westbrook + bench lineups in the near future... and that bench will be pretty bad. LAL are going to lose those minutes.

why dont the nets want dinwiddie though?

The Wizards just moved the salary of Westbrook and are now jumping back into financial purgatory with Dinwit? Top notch franchise!

The fact that lakers had to include the 22nd pick in this deal is ridiculous.. They should of held strong on that complete insanity.. Its already bad enough also KCP is a good role player on a good salary and now the lakers also in turn strengthen the nets.. Good job lakers absolute dumb trade..

Wizzards do not need Kuzma with Hachimura and Avdija on the board.
Harrell could get a lot of minutes.

Brooklyn does want him, we just can't afford to keep him at the price he'll command, along with 3 max contracts and Joe.

Am I the only who thinks this would be a horrible trade for the Wizards. Dinwiddie is looking for a lot of money and he is coming back from a major injury. It would be stupid to give up anything for him.
