Emoni Bates Reclassifies For 2021 Incoming Class

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Thu Aug 5, 2021 1:05 am

Emoni Bates is reclassifying for the 2021 incoming class and could enroll in college for the upcoming season.

Bates announced on Instagram he's down to four options: Michigan State, where he decommitted from in the spring, Oregon, Memphis and the G League.

Bates doesn't turn 18 until January, so he is too young to enter the 2022 NBA draft.

Bates could end up playing college basketball for two years, or go to college for one year and then play in the G League or elsewhere for a year before entering the 2023 draft.

he should go play in australia. Fits how he wants to develop his game perfectly how they hooping over there, and he needs to play against men, not boys since his game isnt based on athleticism.

It’s all about making money quicker. He will get a nice chunk since college athletes can get endorsements now. Same thing quinn ewers is doing in football

This is gonna be a really interesting test case. He's got more name recognition than anyone since Zion; these rules were made for him. Only question is whether the G-league's development program would be worth taking the smaller payday. Jalen Green definitely didn't think it was, at least from some of his quotes.
