Michele Roberts: Real Story Is How We Can Emulate Vaccination Rate Of NBA Players

Michele Roberts released a statement commending the vaccination rate of the NBA's players.

“Over ninety percent of our Players are fully vaccinated. Nationally, on average only fifty-five (55%) of Americans are. The real story is not why vaccination isn’t mandated in the NBA. The real story for proponents of vaccination is how can we emulate the Players in the NBA."

The NBA issued a statement earlier on Tuesday suggesting it sought a vaccine mandate, which was declined by the NBPA.

Imagine how inspiring it will be if you get the holdouts to get on board and you can show the anti-vax squad a full thirty-team league of healthy athletes that are not harmed by the vaccines at all to try and get more of the American people and people worldwide to get vaccinated.

While I agree that you can't nor should you force people to get a shot we are still in a pandemic. I realistically can't see why it isn't the # 1 issue to address until this pandemic Is over. I also agree that 90% vax rate would be welcomed but again I wouldn't force people. The virus is eventually going to be the flu but for the vaccinated

Nonsense mandated vaccines have been around got decades to even get into school it's not a human right your just making **** up..

Why is the NBA not mandating all (young, fit and healthy) NBA players catching covid-19 to protect their family and elderly coaches and officials with natural immunity.

To all the young, fit and healthy individuals stop being so damn stupid and selfish getting 1, 2, 3, .... vaccines and booster shots as you are still transmissible and are putting your friends and family at risk of covid. If you care about the elderly, vulnerable/grandparents etc lets get thing going.

Instead of the sellouts in Washington giving billions to the big pharma drug cartels some of that money needs to go to COVID PARTYs - 2 week lockins for fit and healthy individuals to get the disease and come out with natural immunity which is proven far more effective than the endless jabs that keep wearing off.

At these parties we can conduct a massive experiment/study -
People can have their own treatment, drugs, health products which everyone can see the results of out in the open.
Lets have some of these televised. Doctors and Scientists providing special comments.
The doctors and nurses overseeing the people inside will have already had covid.
(everyone will enter voluntarily and sign the relevant documents in case anything goes wrong)
Big Brother Covid/Survivor Covid etc
Or call the show - WHO WANTS TO BE A COVID HERO?
Do it for your country, friends and family.

I'm glad the RealGM added the last line to call out the misleading nature of Michele Roberts's statement. Setting aside the vaccine conspiracy theorists (who are untethered from reality), it's impossible for the US to achieve a 90% vaccination rate at this time because children 15 and younger make up more than 10% of the population and, until very recently, none of the vaccines were approved for use by them.
