Nets Have Waning Optimism Of Kyrie Irving Getting Vaccinated

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Oct 6, 2021 1:55 am

The Brooklyn Nets are unclear on Kyrie Irving's ultimate decision on whether to get vaccinated and have not made a decision on whether they will accommodate him if he's faced to be a part-time player.

There had previously been optimism that Irving would eventually get vaccinated, but that hope is waning. Irving's continued resistance to vaccination has the Nets preparing for the possibility that they'll be without him for home practices and games for the foreseeable future.

The Nets could keep Irving out altogether rather than just play in road games.

The Nets have been outwardly supportive of Irving's process, but the collective patience of the organization has been tested.

Brooklyn believes they are a title contender even without Irving.

No one wants a guy that thinks the world is flat . Attach 2 first round picks to him in a market that allows unvaccinated players and maybe something could happen .

Boston fans currently laughing and saying "I told you so". This guy isn't a winner. He's in it for the money, fame, and worst of all: attention.

He isn't going to get vaccinated. He's a devout conspiracy theorist. He wasn't joking when he said the earth was flat. He now thinks the vaccine has a microchip in it.

He said he'll retire if traded. No team will call his bluff, risk money and picks. Also, harden and KD may demand trades or boycott. So the nets are stuck.

"I told you so"? LOL. He left the Celtics not the other way around. If he was willing to come back they would have bent over, backward, and sideways to accommodate him.

The Nets could always announce their playing this season back in the Meadowlands.

So they're going to give up all that revenue just for the privileged of paying Kyrie?

100% he wasn't joking he just retracted it because he is at least aware enough that ppl are calling you an idiot when you say the earth is flat.. The microchip is a good one because apparently you need two doses and you don't have a phone as it is already or you know have been vaccinated to go to school etc in the past.. Kyrie lives in his own delusion.. KD was still worth and the nets can win it all even if Kyrie doesn't play..

Boston and Cleveland must be chuckling.

Kyrie really does need to see a psychologist. It seems like he has some sort of undiagnosed personality disorder. Perhaps paranoid personality disorder with a splash of grandiose narcissism.

Kyrie should just retire and enjoy his life. His priority isn’t basketball at this point

The trade for Ben Simmons is getting closer to reality with every passing day.

KD must really wonder why the basketball gods hate him. Russ, Draymond and now Kyrie?

Kyrie is a certified nutjob. It's always something with him. Guy is just a constant distraction and the least reliable player in the league.

KD’s choice. Him and Kyrie are supposedly very tight.

That's pretty much it. He is more concerned about things outside of basketball. And he's probably rich enough to pursue those interests and give up on his career. Too bad, because he is blessed with an amazing amount of basketball talent.

He's like Michael Jackson: rich enough to be called "eccentric". If he was a homeless guy in your neighbourhood, walking around saging things, saying the world was flat, wearing his tinfoil hat, spouting conspiracy theories, people would be avoiding him like the plague. But he'll be fine.

Not sure how Brooklyn does without him. It levels the playing field a bit, and makes any injuries to KD and/or Harden that much more damaging to their chances, as we saw last season.
