Phoenix Suns stars Devin Booker and Chris Paul both said they are "waiting for more information" before commenting on ESPN's report on misbehavior by Suns ownership and management. Booker added that he's not insensitive to the accusations, but that he believes the NBA will do their due diligence with their investigation.

Paul agreed with Booker's stance on letting the investigation play out.

“I think right now, like Book said, we’re not insensitive to everything that was said or whatnot, but we don’t know all the details,” Paul said. “So, the NBA will do its investigation and in that time all of us on our team will continue to play and do what we do.”

Booker was asked if former Suns head coach Earl Watson was credible and said, "Yeah, that's my guy."

The Suns star guard also expressed his respect for current Phoenix head coach Monty Williams. Booker said Williams is the right man to lead the team during this turmoil, "The perfect person, man. I heard his quotes pregame...you can feel everything he says, and we're sticking behind him."

Booker has been there for 7 years now, you either see something wrong or you don't. Why do you need to wait and see which direction the wind blows before making a comment on the situation? Lame!

Booker wouldn't be privy to what Sarver is doing in the vast majority of situations. So an effective no comment makes more sense than anything else, which is what he did. He's also caught up between Watson, whom he says he is close with, and Sarver, head of his current org, in a debate over who said what in private.

I don't think any of the Suns want to totally get In Sarver's corner without knowing more about what happened, but neither do they want to throw him under the bus for the same reason and that feels fine to me.

So he's a racist only for the inner corner folks? How about this list of the insiders who backs him?

I made no comment on Sarver's guilt, nor did I say he was only guilty with inside people. I explained why Booker likely doesn't know if the allegations are true because a player isn't likely around the operational side of the business with any frequency where most of these allegations come from. There's no reason for Booker to make a strong stance in one way or the other.

Based on what Sarver is accused of here, this seems more like hostile work environment (racial/sexual insensitivity/ignorance) than racism/sexism (discrimination). Without doing a deep dive, I'd guess Sarver actually has the best minority hiring track record in the NBA when it comes to basketball ops so its hard for me to say he discriminates.
