Klay Thompson has been cleared to be a full-time participate in all future practices with the Golden State Warriors.

Thompson is trending toward a potential return the week before Christmas Day. Thompson spent last week scrimmaging 5-on-5. Thompson is expected to play between 18-22 minutes per game when he initially returns. 

Thompson is returning from a torn ACL in June of 2019 and a torn Achilles in November 2020.

Barring a setback, either December 20th against the Sacramento Kings, or December 23rd against the Memphis Grizzlies are expected comeback dates.

No point in rushing Klay back this season -- the team is playing outstanding -- given his multiple back to back knee injuries, massive contract, GSW needs to be prudent in how they re-orientate him back into the lineup. Given his age (31+), severity of injuries he will unfortunately need to re-evaluate how he approaches the game ( especially the aggressive lateral movement on defense, sharpness of cuts off screens) going forward. Perhaps have him in a Manu Ginobili type role off the bench this season ( even going forward ) and aim for starting next season.

Completely agree… just have him come off the bench for 25-30 minutes a game moving forward.
