Danny Ainge Open To Advisory Role With Team

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Dec 10, 2021 2:38 am

Danny Ainge ran the Boston Celtics for 18 years and is not working for any teams this season after stepping down as president of the franchise. Ainge has been mentioned as a candidate for a role with the Portland Trail Blazers and Utah Jazz. Ainge is currently living in Utah.

"I’m not closing the book on other opportunities but they'd have to be the right situation. I’d have to be working with the right people, in the right role. I don't want to get back into 18-hour days. I don't think that's in anybody’s best interest, for that matter.

"I know how much work it takes to be good at the job. And, at the same time, I have 40 years of experience in the NBA. And I think I have a lot to offer some team that might see me as a helper to people in the organization. But, yeah, just depending on what the role is."

He wants to get paid to answer the phone. I don't blame him.

Why won't this man just fade away...

Hey Danny boy, nobody wants to hear you offer 3 second rounders and a bag of peanuts for a superstar player no more.
Truth is on the side of the oppressed.
