Koby Altman, Cavaliers Sign Extension Through 27-28

The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed Koby Altman to a contract extension through the 27-28 season and will also assume a new title of president of basketball operations.

Altman is considered one of the early frontrunners for the league's executive of the year award along with the Chicago Bulls' Arturas Karnisovas and Memphis Grizzlies' Zach Kleiman.

Altman was promoted to GM in July 2017, a year after the Cavaliers won the NBA title.

Altman's representative Bret Just of WME negotiated the deal.

Evan Mobile / Jared Allen / Garland -- future of the Cavs

This team will be lethal if Lauri Markkanen somehow manages to regain his touch from 3pt range.

Big Question marks : Kevin Love / Collin Sexton

Overall great work by Koby Altman : great turnaround after Finals run.

Hard to imagine Love will stay. Cleveland would probably love to keep him but wouldn't want to commit too much money to a bench role and there will definitely be contending teams thinking he'd be of value. His fiancé is a model/actress so I'd bet he'd want to move out to LA.
