LeBron James, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook decided last offseason that they wanted to play together and the trio appears to have no option other than to figure out how do do it.

"It's not like [Westbrook's] a tradable player where if it's not working out you just move on; everybody in the NBA knows that," one team source said. "So it's got to work. This is the only option. There is no Plan B for this season."

The Lakers traded virtually all their remaining assets to the Washington Wizards for Westbrook.

As one Lakers insider said, "There is no light at the end of the tunnel."

Westbrook was benched last week in what could be a crossroads moment for him.

Rob Pelinka met with Westbrook for nearly two hours when the Lakers landed in Orlando on Thursday.

Frank Vogel too has met individually with Westbrook several times throughout the season to try to find ways to help him feel more comfortable and succeed on the court, according to team sources.

James and Davis speak to him regularly, as well.

"Constantly," one team source said. "They're talking to Russ constantly."

Here's the thing. This is season 1 with all these players playing together and not even halfway the season. Give it a try full season at least. LeBron and the super teams he puts together should technically win alot of championships. He's been in the league close to 20 years now and has 4 rings with so many different superteams. Dude wants everything right away and at age 37, the jig is up. He either has to take a backseat or kiss his chance of winning goodbye.

Bring him off the bench.

Yeah it's Russ who should figure this out. He should just turn into Jason Kidd at this prime at this point of his career, not the Lakers "source" who wanted to trade for the 3rd star. Right LeGM? lol.

Not sure if you have noticed but Nunn who I thought was a solid off-season signing has been out for what I thought was a mild sprained ankle to start the season and still never has gotten on the court. If this signing is the reason they let Caruso go this is yet another reason why that decision was an awful one. Nunn’s instant offense would have been helpful off the bench especially when AD was out and the lineup was influx to start the season. You can’t rely on Westbrook to play consistent offensively with this team because he just doesn’t feel comfortable and isn’t give the ball to just do his thing. Not sure it will ever work but if Russ ever wants to win a title he really needs to do something to change his game in the 2nd half that will show this group can turn it on at the right time. Long shot but great players usually find a way to win when it matters.
