The New York Knicks have expressed interest in trading for De'Aaron Fox. Fox is averaging 31.0 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.2 assists this season in the Sacramento Kings' crowded backcourt. Fox is signed through the 25-26 season.

"This has been reported elsewhere, but I've heard as well that the Knicks have shown some interest in De'Aaron Fox," said Brian Windhorst on his podcast. "The player that makes the most sense in that swap is Julius Randle."

Randle signed a four-year, $117 million extension with the Knicks this past offseason, but has had a disappointing season with Windhorst citing frustrations between Randle and Tom Thibodeau and the fans.

The Knicks remain on the market for a point guard and have also been linked to Jalen Brunson.

Why would the Knicks ( or any team for that matter ) bring on a player who is being supplanted by a 2nd year guard ( Haliburton ) & has significantly regressed since signing his max contract?

Because it's the Knicks (see Kemba Walker).

Please no, not another point guard that can’t shoot threes, below average free throw shooter…what has happened to the Colin Sexton conversation, makes more sense to give Cleveland some win now assets and then Knicks free some PT for young Knicks, with a lead guard joining next year.

The Knicks are interested in any player who is not playing in New York.

Randle, Burks and Walker for Fox and Bagley.

Knicks
Robinson/Noel/Gibson/Sims
Toppin/Bagley/Reddish
Barrett/Reddish/Fournier
Fournier/Quickley/Grimes
Fox/Rose/Quickley/McBride

Kings
Holmes/Jones/Len/Thompson
Randle/Barnes/Metu
Barnes/Burks/Harkless
Hield/Burks/Mitchell/Davis
Halliburton/Walker/Mitchell

Who says no?

I mean, you just listed the reasons why the other team would consider giving him away. If he was still playing like a future star max guy then you all would have no chance of getting him. That'd be the gamble here.

I hope the Knicks send Randle and Fournier in order to free up Reddish in the process. Kings could really use both. I also think Hield could help the Knicks more than he helps Sacramento.

Fox, RJ, Reddish, Obi, Bagley/Mitch
Hali, Fournier, Barnes, Randle, Holmes

It’sa step forward for both teams. Knicks still suck, but for once become really, really young at least.

I dont understand the Reddish obsession, if he's good, or better than Burks/Fournier, then he'd be playing...

We're also one of the youngest teams in the league currently and our average number is driven up by having Gibson and Walker who are both non-rotation players when we're healthy. Our actual rotation is very young right now.
