Knicks Emerge With Interest In Trading For CJ McCollum

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Feb 7, 2022 4:34 pm

The New York Knicks have emerged as a legitimate trade suitor with the Portland Trail Blazers for CJ McCollum.

A trade of McCollum appears more likely than it has ever been as the Blazers look to reset around Damian Lillard.

The New Orleans Pelicans have previously been the team most frequently linked to McCollum. The Dallas Mavericks are also believed to have interest in McCollum.

McCollum is signed through 23-24.

I doubt if the Blazers is looking for vets and picks. In any case, Knicks probably have better chance snatching Russ from the Lakers than CJ McCollum from Portland

I think anyone that wants Russ can get Russ. Outside of John Wall (and maybe including Wall) can any team trade $44M in contracts that would be less valuable to LAL than Westbrook?

I’m interested to see what they’d offer. Ideally 1-2 firsts would be nice but who knows if that’s his value anymore

Knicks shouldn’t want him. And I love CJ as a basketball player.

The Knicks shouldn’t be trading for CJ. They should be trading away Randle. The dude is a cancer.

Idiots chasing the play in game for a max veteran with a collapsed lung. Probably going to trade Toppin or Quickly for this relic.

The vets are having negative value to the Knicks at this point in time anyway. Trading them away opens up precious playing time for Quickley and Grimes. It is essentially, an addition by subtraction. Besides, Even if Russ can neither play nor sell tix, Knicks still win this one easily.

His value depend on every other things, his collapsed lung is not necessary something that can make him a different player.
The only problem is that some people who get one, get the same to the other lung. But once healthy, it doesn't change anything.
I even know one guy who had both, got a part of one lung cut, and he's still running like he was before that
