Warriors To Work Out Tyreke Evans

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Mar 9, 2022 1:47 pm

The Golden State Warriors are going to work out recently reinstated guard Tyreke Evans. This is the second team Evans has met with since he was reinstated, following a recent meeting with the Milwaukee Bucks.

Evans was suspended following the 2018-19 season due to violating the NBA's drug policy. Evans was reinstated in mid-February, clearing the way for a return to the league.

In his last season, Evans averaged 10.2 points in 20.3 minutes over 69 games with the Indiana Pacers. He's played for the Sacramento Kings, New Orleans Pelicans, Memphis Grizzlies and Pacers during his 10-year NBA career.

I wouldn't mind him on a 1+1 deal this off-season if the Warriors draft a PG as Evans would be a 1-2 year stop gap option while a 2022 draft pick progresses from a 3rd option to backup.

subterfuge. warriors just want to sign him to keep him away from the lakers and will just sit him on the end of the bench. warriors are scared of a 1st round matchup against the lakers

I am not a Warriors fan but I don't think they're scared of the Lakers. There is really no chance they even play the Lakers in the first round. The Warriors will finish either 2 or 3. The 2 seed plays the 7 seed and the 3 seed plays the 6 seed. The Lakers will play in the play-in tournament as the 9th seed vs 10th seed. So the best they can finish is 8th. If the Lakers make it they play Phoenix.

You're clearly not a Lakers fan. Lakers fans know that they will meet up with GSW in the Conference Finals... if the Warriors are still in it. You've got to believe it before you achieve it! :D

They should target a 7-footer. They have enough guards and forwards.
