Lonzo Ball Likely Out For Remainder Of Season

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Apr 6, 2022 12:13 am

Chicago Bulls guard Lonzo Ball has suffered another setback in his return from knee surgery. Ball again experienced soreness as he ramped up his rehab. While a final decision has not been made, it's expected that Ball will miss the remainder of the season.

Ball's last appearance for Chicago was on January 14. Shortly after that game, Ball to repair a slight meniscus tear in his left knee. Ball has also been dealing with a bone bruise in that knee.

At the end of March, Ball was shut down, as he suffered soreness when ramping up the rehab process. As Ball began another ramp up this week, the soreness was still persistent.

Ball's season will likely end after a career-low 35 games played. In his first season of a four-year deal with the Bulls, Ball averaged 13 points, 5.4 rebounds, 5.1 assists and 1.8 steals, while hitting a career-best 42.3% of this three-pointers.

Sad to see.

Most impressive part is that he had such a terrible FT% as a rook and now is respectable. Imagine in Ben Simmons worked that hard!

if Simmons had a father like Balls'..... he'd be shooting the ball better. But as a Raptor fan i'm fine with the gossip and him on the bench. 8-)

More or less ends the Bulls post season hopes. Ball was fantastic when healthy. Hopefully he is able to recover this off-season and the issues don't become persistent, but his injury history has been pretty bad throughout his whole career.

That's disappointing. Ball's improvement since he first entered the league has been refreshing to watch. Even more impressive considering he had the difficult task of sidelining his Dad early on.

Here's hoping he comes back even better next year. He was a great fit on that Bulls team.
