Malcolm Brogdon Likely To Be Traded

The Indiana Pacers have left rival teams with the impression that they're going to trade Malcolm Brogdon this offseason. Indiana started a retooling of their roster at the trade deadline by dealing away Domantas Sabonis and Caris LeVert.
In the Sabonis trade, the Pacers added guard Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield from the Sacramento Kings. Haliburton is now seen as the centerpiece of Indiana's rebuild.
That status for Haliburton makes Brogdon available via trade. While talented, Brogdon has miss significant time with injuries throughout his career. Despite the availability issues, Brogdon signed a two-year, $45 million extension with the Pacers. That new deal starts with the 2023-24 season. Because of that extension, Brogdon was ineligible to be traded at the 2022 trade deadline. A trade is now seen as likely to happen this summer.

Nobody wants Randle right now. Every other season he plays himself into actual trade value. Knicks fans will have to wait for next season, and sell low when he's playing like an all-star.

Your a Knix fan, it all makes sense.
The Knix get the arguably the 2nd best player in the trade and get a 6th pick while the Pacers get nothing at all. Blazers give up nothing to move 5 spots back in the draft

Pacers get out of Brogdons deal. He plays 50 games a year and is the same position as their best player. They get Little, and Pistons 2nd rounder.
There have been rumors that the Blazers are interested in Grant, but Randle is a better version of him while giving up nothing but a pick swap and Little.
Knicks get a point guard.

Just off the top of my head. The teams that could use Brogdon.
Knicks
Lakers
Wizards
Considering the Pacers want to rebuild I feel the Knicks and Wizards could have more leverage than the Lakers since they could offer their 1st round picks for this year.

I wanna see what Pop could do with Randle but I don't see a trade scenario happening.

Don't think anyone's giving up lotto picks for the right to pay Brogdon market value, not with his injury history and at his age. Seems a little too high, he's maybe more in the later 1st round or young/cheap rotation player value range.

Knicks should've tried to get brogdan this off season. Randle showed his true colors this season.
Brogdon Isn't an alpha, but he's more alpha than randle

All other points aside... If POR is starting another 6-3 guard next to Lillard next season somebody needs to get fired. Hart needs to be their starting SG. The entire point in trading CJ was that they couldn't guard anyone. They need to trade Lillard or Simons this offseason or they will just be rehashing what they already know won't work. Both Lillard and Simons are too good to end up with Randle and Noel in return. And like CJ, Simons has never been this version of himself while on the floor with Lillard... but they do need to get bigger.

Makes sense. They have Haliburton. They can go in for a good wing player.

The Pacers aren't looking to get shafted and while I believe that we do want to move on from Malcolm, I'd like to think the Pacers would just keep him rather than trade him for such a pitiful return.

Again the Knix win big in comparison to the Pacers, pacers don’t need to trade Brogdon, they have will have the 5th most cap space this off season and by time Haliburton extension kicks in brogdon will be a free agent. They would only move brogdon if they get some great value for him, little and a 2nd is not great value.

What is great value to you?
I like him as a player but he is too often too injured and he's entering his age 30 season.
Randle is 27, averaged 20/10/5 and was 2nd Team All-NBA LAST SEASON. Sure his value has dropped since then, but Brogdon isn't a superstar here. Randle is definitely the better player, which you admitted. How is this a big win?

Hello knicks fanboy!
Given the contracts.
Something like randle for Brogdan, salary filler and a late first/a couple 2nds seems plenty fair for both sides.
