The Phoenix Suns beat the New Orleans Pelicans 115-109 to close out the series in Game 6 on Thursday night.

The Suns were lead by Chris Paul, who scored 33 points on an NBA playoff record 14-of-14 from the field.

"It's unbelievably special, you have no idea how special it is for me," said Paul. "I had no clue (hadn't missed). At halftime I realized I might need to shoot a little bit more."

Only Wilt Chamberlain made more baskets without a miss, going 16-of-16 and 18-of-18 in the regular season.

Deandre Ayton added 22 points on 10-of-12 shooting. Paul and Ayton's combined 92.3% field goal percentage is the highest combined percentage on a minimum 20 shots in the shot-clock era.

The Suns will play the Mavs in the next round.
