Jonathan Isaac Explains Decision To Be Magic's Only Unvaccinated Player

Orlando Magic forward Jonathan Isaac hasn't taken the floor for a game the past two seasons, yet he remains visible due to his stance on the COVID vaccine and refusal to kneel during the bubble. At a rally sponsored by the "ReAwaken America Tour", Isaac spoke about those topics and more.

Isaac explained he feels that the COVID vaccine felt forced.

“Viewing it, it seemed forced. It seemed that there was so much pressure in doing it,” Isaac said. “I don’t see the wisdom in putting something into my body that’s not going to stop me from getting the virus or transmitting it. That is why I decided to be the only player on my team to not get vaccinated.”

Isaac also promoted his book "Why I Stand" while at the rally. He wrote the book after refusing to kneel in solidarity with his teammates in the NBA bubble following the murder of George Floyd.

I have a lot of respect for kyrie irving for resisting the urge to tap into these people to garner more attention. He has his personal stance, and although it derailed his teams success this year, all i heard him do was talk about the nyc workers who couldnt work due to not being vaccinated. other than that, he hasnt really gotten on his soapbox over this crap when im sure that there are a bunch of people who have been foaming at the mouth to use him as an anti vax spokesman

It doesn't work, sorry. I made 750,000 dollars in 1 month though from vaccine stock. I learned a lot about pharma and stocks , and money. Everything is about money in this world. I felt dirty cashing in. Still do.

He made the right choice. I wouldn’t have gotten vaccinated in hindsight. They aren’t that effective, if at all. Covid effected the elderly and the obese the most but I got sucked into the pressure. Good on Jon for actually standing pat.
