Derrick White Out For Game 2 Due To Personal Reasons

Derrick White will miss Game 2 of the Easter Conference Finals for personal reasons.

The Boston Celtics are expected to get Marcus Smart back for Game 2. Boston trails the Miami Heat 1-0.

White and his wife are expecting a child, which is the likely reason for the absence.

All the best to White and the baby's mother (presumably his partner). I would LOVE to have him on the court for Game 2, but not at the kid's expense. Perhaps the silver lining to some of these absences is that it lets those sitting out recharge just a bit.

White did an interview on Boston area sports channel and he looked SO excited for that kid. It was great to see. Think that little baby gonna have a great dad.
