These ratings are still historically bad, the nba is trending downwards in 3 consecutive finals. Maybe fs1 and espn would get the hint that their are other sports that have more integrity and less corruption than the nba that are worth discussing on their morning and afternoon shows

It's the Warriors effect, and Curry is the face of the league. NBA is lucky to have him and the team like Golden State in these times when ratings are going down.

FS1 doesnt have the NBA TNT ESPN and ABC do.. The next TV contract will give more money which means in the age of netflix etc the TV companies still happy with the ratings and all the other media coverage they get from adjacent shows the NBA does better than any other sport bar the NRL.. Not sure what your on about integrity please tell me who is cheating?

I sure hope you’re not referring to the MLB or NFL as sports with more integrity and less corruption lol. You do realize these ratings don’t include any streaming services correct? I don’t know a single person under the age of 50 that even has cable television these days

ABC is free tv, anybody with a tv can watch the nba finals and are choosing not too. the nhl and mlb yes are better products and if espn and fs1 were not talking about the nba 24/7 then other sports would have higher ratings

You’re also ignoring that these ratings don’t take in to account and viewership outside of the US which had grown exponentially. Baseball is a great spot but with the amount of cheating scandals that have been confirmed and outed, not to mention the amount they tinker with the baseballs and refuse to admit it, it’s lost all credibility. I love the NHL as well but it’s undeniable it’s not growing at the same
rate as the NBA. As a league they do an awful job marketing their stars
