The Houston Rockets declined their team option on Jae'Sean Tate, sources told Shams Charania of The Athletic.
Though the move makes Tate a restricted free agent, both him and the Rockets have mutual interest in a new deal when free agency opens on Thursday.
Tate averaged 11.8 points and 5.4 rebounds last season.
