Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies have agreed to a five-year, $193 million designated rookie maximum extension. The deal could become worth $231 million if he makes an All-NBA team again next season.

Morant was the second overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft and was a Second Team All-NBA guard last season.

They need to look over that clause in the CBA, some players are worth the full max. Let's say he has a down year, does that mean he's not worth the full max? Not to mention All-NBA would be hard to make when you have 15 slots for the top 30 players, and you already know at least 10 players who's fully guaranteed a spot.
