The Oklahoma City have waived Isaiah Roby ahead of his $1.9 million guarantee date.


Roby appeared in 45 games last season, averaging 10.1 points, 4.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 21.1 minutes.


Roby was a second round pick in 2019 out of Nebraska.

I don’t get how this guy isn’t signed - his advanced stats look decent- is this guy miles bridges crazy but doesn’t have the elite talent or something?

This was bound to happen at some point with the Thunder. They have too many picks and not enough spots for them. I wouldn't be surprised if they trade Kenrich Williams very soon. They're eventually going to have to start consolidating some pieces or picks to deal with the issue.

Concerning Roby, he's a pretty underrated role-player with a useful skill set for today's game. I'm betting a number of teams put in a waiver claim for him (unless his agent asks teams not to). Actually wouldn't mind seeing him on the Kings. I'm not too confident in Lyles and Metu maintaining the backup four spots.
