Hawks Promote Joe Prunty To Top Assistant, Hire Mike Longabardi To Replace Chris Jent

The Atlanta Hawks promoted Joe Prunty as the team's top assistant, sources told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Nate McMillan also hired Mike Longabardi on his staff, replacing Chris Jent. Jent left earlier in the offseason to be the top assistant on Darvin Ham's staff with the Lakers.

The Hawks had the 28th ranked defense and added Murray. You'd think there'd be no way they could get worse on that side of the floor, but all Nate has to do is put Longabardi in charge of the D and he can find a way.
