Karl-Anthony Towns Publicly Critical Of Anthony Edwards' Diet

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Oct 26, 2022 3:21 pm

Karl-Anthony Towns publicly criticized the nutrition habits of his teammate Anthony Edwards and how it could impact his performance in back-to-backs.

“Maybe I could do a better job of teaching him how to take care of his body — diet and everything,” Towns said. “That’ll be on me. I know y’all think it’s funny up here when he talks about Popeyes and all that s–t. That doesn’t make me happy to hear. We’re high-level athletes.”

Edwards became a pitchman for Popeyes, doing a commercial for Uber Eats in which he and Ja Morant held a “slam dunk contest” about how they dunk their chicken pieces in dips.

KAT really hasn't done anything to be in a position to criticize teammates. It's good that he's trying to look out for Edwards, but that can be handled privately.

Kobe was eating burgers every meal til he was 30. Yes they are athletes but they also burn a tons of calories every game and practice. I'd be more concerned about Edwards eating pizza/fried chicken every day when he's 30+.

That sounds like total BS.

Towns is clearly a KFC guy

nah check out what Phelps was eating during his olympic run — these guys are working out 1.5-2hrs per day on top of practice/games. Is it the best possible fuel? No, of course not. But he’s not risking cubicle gut.

Show me a 7 footer who doesn't eat 7 buckets of fried chicken every day and I'll give you a buck.

I think it is total BS concerning Kobe until I see evidence concerning his diet.
