Kyrie Irving Apologizes In Instagram Post: 'I Am Deeply Sorry To Have Caused You Pain'

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Fri Nov 4, 2022 5:37 am

Kyrie Irving apologized to "all Jewish families and Communities" in an Instagram post on Thursday night.

"To All Jewish families and Communities that are hurt and affected from my post, I am deeply sorry to have caused you pain, and I apologize. I initially reacted out of emotion to being unjustly labeled Anti-Semitic, instead of focusing on the healing process of my Jewish Brothers and Sisters that were hurt from the hateful remarks made in the Documentary.

"I want to clarify any confusion on where I stand fighting against Anti- semticism by apologizing for posting the documentary without context and a factual explanation outlining the specific beliefs in the Documentary I agreed with and disagreed with. I had no intentions to disrespect any Jewish cultural history regarding the Holocaust or perpetuate any hate," wrote Irving.

Irving was most recently suspended by the Nets for at least five games without pay following a press conference in which he took responsibility but did not apologize for linking to an antisemitic film

The Anti-Defamation league rejected Irving's $500,000 donation made to the organization on Thursday.

That sounded like it was written by a lawyer or PR firm. Definitely not Kyrie’s words

I am so happy we live in a country that has so many freedoms but when the masses don’t agree with our views or opinions we are whipped into submission to confirm to their views or apologizing for offending them they way they want us to apologize. We are headed down a slippery slope as a country.. We already have people in powerful positions in this country who don’t want the atrocities that occurred in America taught in schools today. Imagine what factual history has been left out by past generations.. is it not unreasonable to question what we have been taught?

If Kyrie Irving was an independent contractor or owned his own company, he wouldn't have to do jack here. He could own up to his uneducated beliefs unequivocally. But he isn't. Despite his illusions of grandeur, at the end of the day, he is an employee. With that comes adherence to company rules and policies. If he was Kyrie Irving, Goldman Sachs accountant, he would have been fired already. If he doesn't like the rules, he is more than welcome to forfeit the remainder of his sizable contract and leave the league.

This trade wasn't some conspiracy - it was just a GM wanting AD bad enough where in most people's eyes he overpaid by a long shot to get him.

He’s allowed to have his own views and opinions as we do live in a country that allows such a thing unlike others. Problem is when you work in this country and represent not only NBA as a whole and secondly an organization you are to set a specific standard which of course is always skewed with all the issues that are ongoing. Sexual assault is probably the biggest black eye that occurs with sports athletes and for many years leagues would turn a blind eye to the responsibility behind the actions of the men who were stars in their sport. They would blindly get a slap on the wrist and be rushed back on the field/court to help bring the fans back in their seats. As we move into a social justice world sometimes having an opportunity to have an opinion on something you do not firmly grasp is a dangerous thing and this isn’t the first or last time Kyrie Irving will do so but hopefully he will have learned a major lesson as it’s a lot more serious than telling everyone the earth is flat like he did a few years ago. He didn’t get in trouble for that but now he has to come to realization posting anti-semitic content is just a major mental lapse and he needs to grow up because you can tell he’s very a articulate man but doesn’t comprehend enough when posting on social media and the repercussions

You know here in the USA we have this thing called the US Constitution and it contains the first Amendment that says:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

In 2022 this has become a problem for the petty tyrants and masterminds in the Corporate Media and the Govt, I call this the Media/Govt complex. Now we are told that speech is violence, but burning down a church or police station is speech! We have entered into an Orwellian nightmare where somehow a billionaire buys Twitter and wants to make it a free speech town square and he's is being called a hate monger and Nazi.

Supporting free speech is not just supporting the speech you agree with, but supporting the right to say or print the stuff you don't agree with too. No matter how repugnant Kyrie's ideas are he has a right to have them. He can say what ever he wants, but we are not required to listen to it. Years ago I had some guy preaching to me about this same stuff that Irving's movie link involves. It's then Black Hebrew Israelite theory. This guys was so ignorant and nearly illiterate that he said Jesus lead the Black Jews out of Egypt. I said, "Wasn't that Moses?" He couldn't read well enough to go to the bible and read it for himself.

I'm a Libertarian and I've always said that Ignorance is a tool of the Tyrant.

According to IMDB, "The Film was included on a recommended viewing list by the Congressional Black Caucus at the request of long time Democrat Party supporter Louis Farrakhan." Have these people been cancelled or chastised for their recommendation?
