Knicks Discussing Immanuel Quickley, Evan Fournier, Derrick Rose, Cam Reddish In Trades

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Wed Dec 7, 2022 3:53 pm

The New York Knicks have been active on the trade market in the run up to the point on the calendar when players signed to offseason deals become eligible to be traded, sources tell Fred Katz of The Athletic.

Under Leon Rose, the Knicks have made early season trades for Derrick Rose and Cam Reddish.

The Knicks have discussed Immanuel Quickley, Evan Fournier, Rose and Reddish.

The Knicks have not shown any interest in attaching draft picks in order to trade Fournier. The Knicks owe Fournier $18 million this season and $18.9 million next season.

New York has targeted a future first round pick in exchange for Quickley. Quickley is known to have admirers across the league. The market for Rose and Reddish is more tepid.

Would like to see Reddish traded to another team so we can find out if he can flourish elsewhere or if HE is the common denominator with not doing well with each franchise he's played for.

It'll be interesting to see what the Knicks would want for Reddish. I'm hoping the Lakers try to trade for him again.

Leon is just being a troll at this point, he messed up badly
and he is focusing on the lil Deers rather than the elephant in the room (RJ and Randle)

I literally have NO idea what the Knicks are trying to do and i think the FO shares the same problem. They should learn from their past and either a) Move all tradeable assets for the best player(s) possible or b) tear it down and trade everyone except Brunson and maybe Barrett

It would be easier if they listed the players the Knicks wouldn't like to trade... and Barrett had better not be on that list.

They honestly think they’ll get something back for their trash players? Should’ve traded Barrett and Randle while their stocks were high.

There's no plan now, they're just still reeling for the bad all-in summer spree two seasons ago. Everyone's good with saying that was a mistake now but they're still stuck without any good moves. They have multiple meh vets making medium-big $ plus multiple young players who have kinda plateaued, so there's not much to build around and no simple way to do it. No plan to make besides shifting a few things and hoping/praying for a lucky break or rebuilding totally.

I do think they should make an effort to be bottom 7 or so this year, which is very doable. (Only 4-5 teams this year are truly bad and/or in full tank). That still gives them an 8% chance at Wemby and another 8% at Scoot.

i'd like to see some veteran presence with rose on the raptors to alleviate FVV of some point duty.

Not sure how serious you are here. Rose is injured every other game, is 34 and not really a playmaker. Conley although more expensive makes more sense. He still has some gas in the tank, high iq, good shooting splits and definitely a playmaker.

News flash. Every team would like to dump their trash off on another team.

the kid was playing fine in a bench role that had him focusing on defense.
he becomes a starter, shoots horribly for awhile, pulls it all together to become a washed up fournier with D, and then injured based on 'over exersion' defending steph curry.

was being listed as the starting SG at 6'8.
if the dude aint starting the knicks dont need him long term.
