James Harden Considering Return To Rockets In Free Agency

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sun Dec 25, 2022 4:07 pm

James Harden is seriously considering returning to the Houston Rockets this offseason as a free agent if he decides against a new deal with the Philadelphia 76ers.

Harden and his camp have been openly weighing a return to Houston in recent weeks and months.

Harden requested a trade from the Rockets before the 20-21 season.

rockets have been the worst team in the league since harden left. I doubt he would make a difference for them at this point in his career

God's gift to Houston apparently... at least in the eyes of Harden.

Why do we always know where this guy is going before he gets there?

The Beard is simply playing the Rockets and the Sixers against each other in order to max out his last contract.

Not sure if either team will fall for it tough. In any case, he has to prove it with the Sixers this Season.

If he wanted a max contract he could’ve got it this past offseason from the Sixers…

This dude just wants to be the main guy on the team, dribbling the ball all the time.

Even though washed Harden is way, way better than Ben… the Sixers really should have dealt with the Kings instead of the Nets last year. It gets clearer and clearer every day that passes.

Good riddance to James, go back to your fav strip clubs in HOU.

All that being said, this will totally work on washed Morey and the Sixers will have maxed out washed Harden at a quarter billion for 5 years :curse:

As long as we get Harden for free, we'll happily take him back. But other than that, we're going young, sorry buddy.

The Sixers should trade him now. If you’re already thinking about leaving, you have one foot out of the door.

You can’t win anything with your heart and mind elsewhere.

Camp is a stupid word. Juvenile. James Harden is old enough to make his own decisions.

Isn’t his mommy his agent?
Edit: it isn’t.
When will we just change the name of 25 of the 30 teams to the Washington Generals?

Please advise….

Not buying it. Sure he may want to return at some point but that is not an immediate concern. He doesn’t want money, he wants a chip. If he does anything pressure wise it will be to get chip pieces at this point.

Yeah, it's like the franchise decided to stockpile picks and rebuild through the draft or something.
But why would they do that instead of building a 30 - 40 win team around guys like Ben Simmons and Caris LeVert?

Weird.

Always found his game to be deplorable, could never understand how he could have fans. The way he's handled his exits has been just terrible, and if he really does this to the Sixers so soon after, it makes him next level trash. The irony it would be, if the Nets win the trade afterall because Harden walks so soon after. He got such much praise for opting out of a player option to essentially still leave them after just a season and a half. I mean atleast they get out of the SImmons contract, but it cost them two picks, and Seth Curry.

Something like this only get leaked out if the player and/or agent is behind it.

This might also be a smoke screen to avoid any potential fines for the Sixers, if they agreed on the next contract already as part of the earlier restructuring and taking a paycut.
