The NBA has announced several suspensions stemming from an altercation on Wednesday between members of the Detroit Pistons and Orlando Magic.

Killian Hayes received a three-game suspension, while Mo Wagner received a two-game suspension. The altercation started when Wagner hip checked Hayes into the Detroit bench.

Hamidou Diallo received a one-game suspension for his part.

Cole Anthony, Mo Bamba, Wendell Carter Jr., RJ Hampton, Gary Harris, Kevon Harris, Franz Wagner, Admiral Schofield of the Orlando Magic each received one-game suspensions for leaving their bench.

Hayes sucker punched a dude with his back turned and knocked him out cold. He gets only three games for that, yet a bunch of Pacers and Melo get suspended BIGLY for punching and missing?

Hayes never threw a punch it was more of a forearm push in the back of the head. Actual fists were thrown in the fight you're talking about. 3 games is more than good enough the NBA is too p*ssy enough as it is

It was a punch, and no, 3 games is NOT enough. What he did was malicious and incredibly dangerous. No one cares if lengthy suspensions aren't macho enough to satiate your bloodlust, basketball isn't a combat sport and that dude should not be playing for a long time.

Wagner's shove alone was probably only worth a 1 game suspension

Seconded.. sorry to say but Americans now days just want to treat every sport as MMA. Basketball is a skill game as much as physical fitness.(more skill). Americans want to see a fight every game. This is not f**king ice hockey

I love how half the people commenting here want to bring up Hayes action and how dangerous it is but totally ignore the fact the Wagner intentionally pushed him into the crowed. Hayes could also have been badly injured which is why he reacted in the first place but no one has called for Wagner to have a lengthy suspension as well.

Hayes nothing but a punk B. MAN UP AND FIGHT FACE TO FACE

Next time Wagner pushes someone intentionally he won't turn his back on the guy. Yes what Hayes did was really bad, but you never turn your back away in the fight.

Hayes threw the punch at the back of the head/neck at the extent of the whiplash he got from hamidoodoo sucker checkin hit from the back.

He didn’t. He hand gestured to apologize… then hami came at hit from the back.

What a joke. These dudes might as well start throwing fists since the suspend for a punch that’s prohibited in combat sports only gets you suspended 3 games out of an 82 game season

Mo wagner should have got a game suspension for the dirty play and then an oscar for that massive flop and fake "knockout". He was already faking that before Hayes even touched him.

Both should have received fines for flopping.
