The NBA plans to send the Dallas Mavericks to play in Abu Dhabi next season, sources tell Marc Stein of Substack.

The NBA staged its first exhibition games in the region last October.

The Mavericks are expected to play a game against Real Madrid next year.

Adam Silver said in October that it’s “important to us [as a league] that we create a permanent presence in the region.”
