Kevin Durant Leaves Game In Third Quarter With Knee Injury, Likely To Get MRI On Monday

Kevin Durant left the Brooklyn Nets' 102-101 win over the Miami Heat in the third quarter with a knee injury and did not return to the game.

The injury occurred with 1:05 left in the third quarter, when Ben Simmons fell back on Durant's knee after blocking a shot.

Durant continued to rub his knee while walking up and down the court before he was subbed out of the game. 

Durant is likely to get an MRI on Monday, according to Jacque Vaughn.

It was only a matter of time until the Nets had to think about resting/load managing Durant. They need everyone fresh for the Playoffs. The rest of the key players have already taken significant time off.

Rest Durant for six weeks so he can come back fresh in late February for a Playoff push.
