The Portland Trail Blazers are "intensely engrossed" with trying to improve their roster ahead of the deadline and have no plans to tank, sources tell Chris Haynes of Bleacher Report.
The Blazers continue to believe they can build a contender around Damian Lillard. But the Blazers have lost 13 of 19 games and are now 13th in the West.
The Blazers are looking for shooting, size and depth. Portland ranks last in points off the bench with just 24.0 points per game.

problem for Blazers is that they rushed to give Lillard the extension beyond 2025. Who is going to want to trade valuable assets to sign up paying him $60M a year at his age 35-36 seasons. That's 40% of the cap.
They have to find ways to improve the roster without surrendering draft assets beyond next couple of years.

In other news, the Lakers are 'manically focused' on improving their roster, and the Clippers on a 'roid rage' to improve theirs.
Memphis is 'HODLing' with 'diamonds hands'.

They have to trade Simons. He's simultaneously their most valuable
and most expendable asset. He can't be on the floor with Lillard in important moments. They need to move Hart to SG and trade Simons for a starting quality Forward.

Try to trade Sharpe for Mathurin like I did in my fantasy league.
