Suns Gave Bucks Permission To Meet With Jae Crowder

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jan 30, 2023 2:11 pm

The Phoenix Suns have had Jae Crowder on the trade market since before the season began. With less than two weeks to the trade deadline, Phoenix may finally be moving closer to trading Crowder.

The Suns gave the Milwaukee Bucks permission to meet with the veteran forward. The Bucks have been interested in dealing for Crowder for a few months now. Milwaukee is believed to be the only team that Phoenix gave this permission to. The Atlanta Hawks and Miami Heat are also known to be interested in acquiring Crowder ahead of the deadline.

Crowder is owed $10.2 million in the final season of his three-year contract with the Suns. The 10-year veteran asked for a trade before the season, when Phoenix made it known that they planned to start Cam Johnson over him this season.

There is no way for the Suns to lose that trade. Connaughton, Allen, Ingles... Which MIL player isn't better than Crowder sitting on his couch? Obviously MIL would agree to a starting spot for Crowder if neither Allen or Connaughton were in the trade. But I expect that Connaughton would be the main piece going back and he would be a great fit in PHX as a sometimes starter behind Booker.

Don't buy him out Phoenix. Don't feed the vultures on the buyout market. If you don't get a decent offer he'll play in the second half of the season or let him waste a year. He's a sook

Did you read what the offer was? Nwora, Hill, Ibaka, and some 2nds. No Pat, Allen, or Joe involved

WTF happened to Phoenix? They looked like a decent organization two years ago.

I didn't see what was offered, but a bag of day-old doughnuts is better than paying Crowder to sit home and eat doughnuts. That deal would give them depth at Guard, Forward and Center, two 2nds and over half-a-million in savings... for a guy sitting on his couch. PHX wins!

They have had a ton of injuries. 51 games in, Booker (22), Paul (21) and Ayton (9) have missed a combined 52 games. Cam Johnson (38) and Cam Payne (23) have also missed significant time.

If you're counting, Their top seven players (MPG) have misses 116 combined games. That's not exactly an organizational problem.
