Jazz Want First-Round Pick For Each Of Mike Conley, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Sat Feb 4, 2023 9:00 pm

The Utah Jazz are looking for a first-round pick for each of Mike Conley, Malik Beasley, and Jarred Vanderbilt, sources told Jake Fischer of Yahoo! Sports.

The Jazz have discussed trades for each individual player, as well as Beasley and Vanderbilt together. The Hawks, Blazers, and Knicks have registered interest in both players.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker has also been included in trade frameworks involving both Beasley and Vanderbilt.

The Sixers and Pacers have registered the most interest in Vanderbilt, according to sources. The Blazers were also mentioned as a possible Vanderbilt destination earlier this week.

The Lakers and Jazz have also discussed a potential trade involving Russell Westbrook in recent days.

Jarred Vanderbilt is the only one of the three that’s close to being worth a 1st rd pick.

Not a big ask… Conley is having a career year - never seen him play make or distribute the ball like he is now.

Beasley is sharpshooting.

Vanderbilt is worth a late FRP based on his play alone.

Career year? He is shooting 40% from the field which is a career low (excluding his 12 game injured season) and in general terms very poor for an NBA level player. Also scoring average is the lowest in over 10 years. And he's 35. Maybe a FRP from a team expected to do well (and have a pick in the 20's+).

This sounds pretty much par for the course.

Ainge has lost a step. All 3 of them basically netted Ainge one 1st in total so yeah it was a big ask.
