Bronny James Tabbed As Top-10 Pick In Mock 2024 NBA Draft

Mock drafts for the 2023 NBA Draft are still being compiled. However, some are already looking ahead to the 2024 NBA Draft. In those projections, Bronny James is projected as a top-10 selection.

James is a 6-foot-4 senior combo guard at Sierra Canyon School in California. He's undecided on his college of choice, as of this moment. With the NBA and NBPA seemingly no closer to eliminating the "one-and-done" rule in collective bargaining, James will likely attend one year of college before becoming draft eligible.

James, who is LeBron James' son, will become draft eligible for the first time in 2024, should he enter the draft after one year in college. James could also choose to play for the G League Ignite next season and get a jump-start on his professional career that way.

The draft eligibility of the younger James will coincide with the elder James having the ability to become an unrestricted free agent by declining his player option for the 2024-25 season. The elder James has indicated he'd like to play with his son in the NBA before he retires.

Lebron gonna be 40 in December 2024.

Talentwise Bronny is not a top 10 pick.

Ofc ESPN takes every opportunity to push a narrative especially when it concerns a cashcow like Lebron.

Lebron is team Lebron, he doesn't care about the Lakers or what team he plays on. So if the kid gets drafted by Utah Lebron is Utah bound. He'll make up some lie about how Utah is where he dreamed he would retire.

Nah bro, it's the Lakers who are going to tank for the #1 pick next year

This is amazing. ESPN really doesn't know what to do without Lebron lol. Does Lebron's name and his family bring that much more significant eyeballs/pageclicks than other topics?

Nah bro, Lakers can’t tank in 2024. Pelicans own the right to take the 2024 pick.

It's honestly pathetic how much of a LeBron propaganda machine ESPN is.

ESPN media hype. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha ..... every other reputable draft board has late late 20s in the first round to mid second round. Bronny has as about the same odds as LiAngelo Ball to be first round pick.

Shouldn't the league be trying to transition away from Lebron? He's 38.

I feel that easily the worst part of Lebron's legacy is the whole LeGM and politicking aspect. The way he pressured GMs into often dumb draft, trade, or FA moves to appease him and then left them holding the bag is definitely a stain. If he'd just stayed with Miami and let Pat and Spo do their thing, I think he'd definitely have another ring or two and a better overall legacy. And the whole Bronny situation with him looming is just the latest iteration of it. I guess you could argue that, without Lebron, Bronny wouldn't even be a draft consideration, so no harm done -- but I think Lebron's mainly setting him up to be a joke about nepotism by talking so much about playing with his son. Lebron could have at least pretended to stay out of the situation -- teams obviously would have given Bronny a look anyway and likely taken a flyer on him.

Well said. However, while I agree his exit from Miami was pretty lame, his return and championship in Cleveland is likely the best thing on his resume when discussing his legacy.

Wanna put money on it that he’s drafted in the top 16 picks? Supposedly he has improved tremendously this year whereas he may have been on the cusp on not even making the league out the gate. I remember when was ranked 44 overall or even worse. He’s jumped to #33 on rivals and 247. That can improve FYI. Look at Ja Morant and I’m not comparing the two in the slightest but you do know he was not the #2nd overall prospect on draft boards in high school
