An argument in the huddle between Rudy Gobert and Kyle Anderson lead to Gobert punching Anderson, sources described to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.

Anderson reportedly told Gobert to block some shots, with Gobert responding by telling Anderson to grab a "bleeping" rebound.

Gobert then lost his temper when Anderson told him to "Shut the f--- up, b----."

"That's what set Rudy off," a source told Wojnarowski.

Gobert then tweeted Anderson an apology after the game.

"Emotions got the best of me today. I should not have reacted the way i did regardless of what was said. I wanna apologize to the fans, the organisation and particularly to Kyle, who is someone that i truly love and respect as a teammate," wrote Gobert.

Gobert nearly didn't play in the game after hurting his back on Saturday against the Spurs.

Anderson said afterwards that the situation would be handled within the team.

"We'll move forward. We want to win games. It is what it is. We'll keep it in house," said Anderson.

I still don't understand how they traded so much for Gobert. Solid defensively but lacks on the offensive end. To this day I'm struggling to understand who would agree to give up that many assets for him.

Rudy Golbert trade will go down as one of the biggest fleecings in NBA history.

Just wait. They'll get it all back in a KAT trade and balance will be restored.

No way that's worse than DLO for Wiggins + 7th pick that turned into Kuminga. Oh right, by the Wolves too.

No way to know that yet for sure, but it's certainly looking much worse than Wiggins/Kuminga IMO.

Kessler is already arguably better than Gobert straight up, not even considering age or Gobert's crippling salary.

Pat Bev was later flipped into THT; currently avging double figures in 20 mpg <-- this is basically the same production Kuminga is providing and the Warriors were ready to dump him in an OG trade.

Vanderbilt and Beasley both contributed to Utah this season and were since flipped into another unprotected FRP.

Damian Jones likely becomes nothing on a future playoff team, but is currently playing rotation mins for Utah.

And the Jazz also added a bunch of trade exceptions + cleared more future salary than just Gobert, by dumping Westbrook and Conley too.

It's arguably a worse trade for Minnesota already at that point... then you throw in three unprotected FRPs (23, 25, 27) and the 2029 FRP is only top-5 protected.

This is a bigger haul than Ainge got for KG/Pierce/Terry from Billy King; of course Utah may not land Tatum and Brown caliber players out of the draft picks, but the initial aggregate value is certainly better than the Nets deal.
