Warriors Were 'Shocked, Caught Off Guard' By Draymond Green Suspension, 'Some Anger' Toward NBA For Decision

The NBA suspended Draymond Green for Game 3 in what was widely considered a surprise decision and one in which Joe Dumars defended in multiple interviews with ESPN. Dumars implied that the league took the totality of Green's career and his behavior following the stomping on Domantas Sabonis after his leg was grabbed by Sabonis.

"The Warriors were shocked and caught off guard last night," said Zach Lowe on his podcast about the reaction of the franchise when they learned of the NBA's decision. "There is some anger within the organization toward the league. There's a sense in the organization that Sabonis is shoving people on offensive rebounds and playing with his elbows out and using the ball as a weapon on offense. 'So of course someone eventually retaliated.' You can give that any validity you want."

I wonder why the psychopath never learns from his mistakes? It's not like the Warriors coddle him every single time he goes on one of his little hissy fits, so there must be another reason... :-?

So some whataboutism is meant to justify stepping on someones chest or as they called it themselves "retaliating". Good stuff GSW

Warriors did NOT think DirtyDray needed a suspension for assaulting his own teammate and Warriors employee Jordan Poole.

Of course they don’t think Dray deserves to be suspended for hurting an opposing player.

If they were shocked, it says more about how conditioned they are to Draymond’s abusive behavior than it is anything else.

These people watched him try to take a teammates’ head off and had to reconcile how obviously and insanely **** up that was. When that becomes even adjacent to the range of acceptable behavior, your compass on such matters is more stomped than Sabonis’ chest.

"So of course someone eventually retaliated."

Exactly. He did it on purpose. He even admitted in the interview that he was mad about getting grabbed the game before. He lost control of his emotions and lashed out violently. It's not the first time he's done that. He lacks impulse control, and is therefore dangerous on the court. Suspension validated. It should have been longer.

Does anyone wanna talk about that the play style of Sabonis in this series is at most what defines Draymond’s career, conservatively?

It’s crazy they can watch him do this most nights for years, but when anyone else does it, they deserve “retaliation”. Draymond has conditioned them well.

Your comment doesn’t make no sense. Sab grabbed Green’s ankle while green was in forward motion. Sab caused his own injury.

That’s like saying in a criminal case, since the accused person was there in the area and taking the accused person’s criminal history into account therefore he must have done the crime while forgo all the evidence. That’s one of the worst argument. If Joe was to used that argument as a legitimate defense in criminal case, he will get embarrassed by a competent attorney.

I think it’s absurd that the NBA has absolute authority to impose punishment without affording teams the ability to present their argument.

Great point my man. My comment doesn't make no sense. Green is a completely sane individual and it was Sabonis who was in the wrong here. Not really sure why it took me this long to see the light! I think Green would have been justified to curb stomp Sabonis the more I think about it. After all, Sabonis did grab his ankle, so at that point he essentially deserved execution.

This only makes sense if Draymond is a child. You're blaming one man's action on another man? Children can't control their behavior, grownups on the other hand... What you're stating is that Sab is a whole **** smarter at head games than Green. Sab was able to make a grown man stomp on a chest with camera's everywhere?

Also Sab or Green, which player has a history of being dirty? Hey, at least Green is broadening his resume from nut kicks and sucker punching his team mates to WWE moves.

The problem though isn't all Green's it's also Kerr's because he never reels in that crazy-ass behavior, and the NBA which turns a blind-eye to his childish BS.

This post says all there is to say.

Anger is what a single-game suspension makes most everybody else feel.

Meanwhile the rest of the world is surprised he hasn’t been suspended for this a lot more.

Warriors reality is not everyone else’s.

Did you even watch the video? When you tried to run as quickly as possible but only to unexpectedly grabbed by the ankle. What do you think could happen? Do you even understand the law of cause and effect? Green didn’t stomped Sab. Sab caused Green’s body to shifted right as his left ankle was grabbed and he had to land his foot somewhere quickly as possible so he could gain control of his momentum which inadvertently had green’s foot landed on sab’s body as green was exerting maximum effort on the fast-break. When you are about to fall, you don’t get luxury to pause reality and discuss it over a cup of coffee to see where you should land your feet. You have to take an immediate action.

To put this in perspective of the mass of law of cause and effect. Your car rear left tire exploded while driving at 70 mph, where do you think the mass of the car will shifted to as result of the blowout tire? Let me tell you, the car will shifted to the right with respect to the mass.

Any scientist scholars with rigorous knowledge of law of cause and effect, will tell you exactly what has occurred, and make sense that Sab inadvertently caused his injury. You should try to do similar of what transpired by run as fast as you can and let some one unexpectedly grab your ankle.

Third strike rules doesn’t apply if the prosecutor can’t prove the person was in commission of the crime or about to commit a crime. Any sensible judge will throw that out. Just because I am walking my dog near where a crime afoot doesn’t mean I am responsible for stated crime.

Great points again my man. Draymond was merely walking his dog and accidently stomped Sabonis' chest with murderous intent.

Poor Drizzy Dray, always in the wrong place at the wrong time. It's probably the white man's fault tbh.
