Payton Pritchard has expressed a hope to the Boston Celtics that he is traded this offseason, sources tell The Athletic.

Pritchard's minutes decreased this season as he was behind Marcus Smart, Derrick White and Malcolm Brogdon in the guard rotation.

Pritchard was the 26th overall pick by the Celtics in the 2020 NBA draft and is eligible for an extension this offseason.

Atleast those two guys have nba roles. 76ers have had Furkan Korkmaz ask for a trade twice. A player that has no role in the NBA and was drafted to be a shooter but has been wildly inconsistent is whole career.

This is a guy that had a larger role and a positive impact on the floor with the previous coach. I can see wanting to leave a situation that will negatively affect his career earnings. Next season is the last of his rookie deal and BOS is deep. There are few teams where he'll get less playing time.

The request is justified... but making it public... not so much.

I wouldn't be surprised if Houston tries to trade for him. Ime will want guys that are familiar with the system.
