Lakers Have 'Significant Interest' In Bruce Brown Jr.

The Los Angeles Lakers have emerged as a team with "significant interest' in signing Bruce Brown Jr., multiple sources tell Mike Singer of the Denver Post.

The Denver Nuggets can only offer Brown up to $7.8 million for the 23-24 season. Brown could opt out and re-sign with the Nuggets in 2024 using Early Bird rights.

Brown was a key part of Denver's title run after signing with the team from the Brooklyn Nets last offseason.

Brown was a revelation as a 6th man in DEN this season but I feel that the LAL would want/need more out of him and be disappointed. I'd hate to see him become just another scapegoat.

I’m confused by your statement. Denver doesn’t have enough money to retain or offer him a new contract. Not sure what you’re indicating when you say you believe it’s leaked to force Denver’s hand when they are already at a point where they can’t afford him. Doesn’t make sense.

I was literally thinking the same thing. He can create his own shot, handle the ball and even play pg at times. I’d even trust him more than DLO. I’d assume they can get him at a cheaper rate as well.

Denver can only pay him 20% more than what he earned last year which they would in a heart beat so this aint true
