The San Antonio Spurs have emerged as a possible dark horse in trading for Damian Lillard following his trade request.
Lillard prefers a trade to the Miami Heat, but sources told Ramona Shelburne of ESPN that he "has a deep respect for the San Antonio Spurs organization."
The Spurs have players and future draft picks available to trade for Lillard.
San Antonio drafted Victor Wembanyama first overall in last month's draft.
