The Portland Trail Blazers will match the three-year, $33 million offer sheet Matisse Thybulle signed with the Dallas Mavericks.

The deal includes an $11.5 million player option in the third year.

Need more deets, but I’m not totally convinced of matisse’ ability to make that a value contract. Sure, the number is good/movable, but he has improved so little since he arrived…is there not a world where someone else could replace him. What he takes in the defensive end he just gives right back on the other side

But why keep a player of his age and role if you are trading Dame.
Rather a part of sign and trade?

He's only 24 and a 2 time All-NBA Defensive Selection. Makes no sense to lose him for nothing if there's no cap penalty to match his very reasonable offer sheet.

He can't be traded until December per CBA rules

You mixing him up with someone else? If 24 is old, I'm done
