Clippers Remain Interested In Trading For Malcolm Brogdon

The Los Angeles Clippers have continued to engage the Boston Celtics on a potential trade for Malcolm Brogdon this offseason, sources told Jared Weiss of The Athletic.

The Clippers backed out of a trade for Brogdon in June to medical concerns.

The Celtics pivoted to a trade where they send Marcus Smart to the Memphis Grizzlies as part of a deal to acquire Kristaps Porzingis. 

Boston is believed to be committed to Derrick White as their starting point guard.

The Celtics and Clippers are each also interested in Jrue Holiday.

That's not entirely accurate. The Clippers have quite a few 3 and D guys which teams like the Lakers and other contenders would try and get in a heartbeat. Russ did a fantastic job containing KD, unfortunately, without Kawhi and PG13 the Clippers stood no chance against the Suns in the playoffs.

The Clippers are a very tough match-up against any team when healthy because more than half the roster can guard multiple positions well. Unfortunately, the injuries have kept them from ever reaching their true potential.
