Dillon Brooks has always been supremely confident about his ability to go against the NBA's best players. That confidence has carried over from the Memphis Grizzlies to Brooks' new team, the Houston Rockets.

Ahead of the Rockets matchup on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers, Brooks said he's ready to go against LeBron James.

"Ready to lock him up. He's been shooting the ball well, he's been playing well, so just there to make him tired, make him get into that 4th quarter early," Brooks said.

In last season's playoffs, while with the Grizzlies, Brooks admitted he was "poking bears" by trash talking James and the Lakers. Brooks said at the time that it's all a part of his confidence in going against the NBA superstars.

Lebron has typically used any negativity in the media or trash talk as motivation to play even better. IMO this was unwise by Brooks.

Can do that with star officiating …. Brooks wont have that luxury, so if he owns up he gets all the credit

Lebron played good not great. Brooks did no locking down.

Locking down did not happen, but Bron didn't totally abuse him either. No Davis the Lakers will not do well.
