NBA Considering Extending 2024 Draft Over Two Days

The NBA has held discussions about extending the draft over the course of two days beginning as early as 2024.

Since going to a two-round format, the draft has always been held over one evening with five minutes between each first round pick and two minutes between each second round pick.

Spreading the draft over two nights would allow executives to have more time between picks in both the first and second rounds.

Many of the second round picks are made during commercials, most notably Nikola Jokic during a Taco Bell commercial in 2014.

First of all it's already too long. Second, how would this work? Separate night for each round? I don't see people watching the 2nd round on it's own when i doubt few even watch it now.

Terrible idea, it's a special night for the kids and if you're a guy that falls to the 2nd round you have to come back the next day, I'm assuming the players won't even show up when no one is watching. Really really dumb

Adam Silver is doing his best to kill the NBA. I cannot wait for this in-season tournament to be the colossal bust many have predicted. Now he wants the draft to be 2 days the man doesn’t understand there aren’t enough roster spots to make 2nd rd draft picks important.
